Marilee Hall Scholarship for the Arts

FOR GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS IN PUTNAM COUNTY, TN PLANNING TO PURSUE A MAJOR OR MINOR COLLEGE DEGREE IN VISUAL FINE ARTS

BACKGROUND:

Marilee Hall is an established ceramic artist in Cookeville, Tennessee who has been instrumental in growing and sustaining the arts community here in the Upper Cumberland. Through her beautiful artwork, her dedication to Art Prowl & Art Round Tennessee for over 20 years, and her wonderful spirit, Marilee continues to inspire current and future artists in this community. Presented by Art Round Tennessee and funded by generous local donors, the Marilee Hall Scholarship for the Arts Will be given to one aspiring artist in Putnam County each year to assist in their creative pursuits.

DETAILS:

The Marilee Hall Scholarship for the Arts is awarded to one graduating high school senior in Putnam County who plans to pursue a major or minor degree in visual fine arts, in the amount of $500.00 in unrestricted funds. Scholarship applications are reviewed by the Art Round Tennessee Board of Directors.

2023 ELIGIBILITY:

  • Applicants must be current high school seniors in any school in Putnam County, TN, including home schooled students.

  • Applicants must be on track to graduate from high school in the 2022-23 academic year.

  • Applicants must be attending college beginning in the 2023-24 academic year.

  • Applicants must be planning on pursuing a major or minor degree in visual fine arts.

  • Applications are due no later than April 30, 2023. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
