Dementaria Enigmatica
Dementaria Enigmatica Visual Arts
I am a self taught artist from Crab Orchard Tennessee and art has been an obsession of mine from the first time I picked up a pencil. My dream as a little girl was to be an animator for Disney studios. I never lost my dreams as I aged but they have become less interested in becoming an animator and more into pushing my own boundaries and telling stories for myself. I want people to feel something when they look at something I created because I felt so deeply making them. I feel like I could make a difference this way and so even though I have faced heavy criticism and the very stereo typical starving artist scenario, I keep going forward. I have experimented with various types of media but my favorites include acrylic, coffee, and ink. I tend to pull inspiration from artists like Dali and Van Gough with a dark twist. I firmly believe light does not exist without the dark. And though the dark is uncomfortable at times to look at it serves a purpose and can bring out feelings that are just as beautiful as when you look at a field of flowers that Bob Ross graced us with on canvas.
