Brie Flora Jewelry
Brie Flora is a contemporary jeweler, artist, and educator currently living in east Tennessee. Flora graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a dual degree in Metalsmithing & Jewelry and Art Education May 2015. Her wearable jewelry plays with symmetry and consists heavily of line work, negative space, patterns, and color. She pulls elements + inspiration from nature, fantasy, & fiction to create unique sculptural objects and wearable art. Brie uses many traditional metalsmithing techniques including piercing, forming, and soldering; then finishes the work by powder coating both traditionally and non-traditionally by dipping, sifting, layering, illustrating with permanent inks, and sgraffito. By doing this, she looks to achieve a more minimalist aesthetic offset with pops of intricate marks and illustrations.
