Amy Larson Hunter and Rachel Wingo. Whimsical Wreckage Art is a collaboration between two artist-mothers, each struggling to embrace our own identities as artists. We are comfortable identifying ourselves as wrecks, however, and are both drawn to highlight the humor of our lives in whimsical and bizarre ways in our mixed media and graphic design work. Art full of wreckage is still art, and that has brought us to an increased desire to use materials that are responsibly sourced or recycled. Our collective revolves around our support of each other, as we often ask each other the question: "Am I really an artist?" to which the other always answers, "Yes, yes, you are."
